Canyon del Sumidero in Chiapas

Day 1 Tuxtla Gutierrez - Cañon del Sumidero - San Cristóbal de las Casas

Our guide will great you at the Tuxtla Gutierrez airport with a sign with your name. From there we will drive to Cahuaré. There we invite you to a boat trip on Rio Grijalva, home of a great variety of flora and fauna (crocodiles, monkeys, and birds). After the boat tour down the Cañon del Sumidero we will visit the colonial city of San Cristóbal de las Casas that was founded in 1524 by Diego de Mazariegos. Afterwards we will drop you off at your hotel.  The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Accommodation.

Day 2 San Cristóbal de las Casas - Indian towns

After breakfast you will enjoy a city tour. Afterwards we will drive to San Juan Chamula where you will have the opportunity to learn about the Tzotzil religion. Then, we drive to the town of Zinacatan where you will visit the central church and a family home where you can try local liquor while you watch textiles being produced on a traditional loom. After returning to San Cristóbal de las Casas, you enjoy the afternoon as you wish. Accommodation.

Day 3  San Cristóbal de las Casas - Toniná - Agua Azul - Misol Há - Palenque

Breakfast and departure for Palenque. On the way we will visit the archaeological zone Toniná. Later we go on to the waterfalls of Agua Azul where you can swim and enjoy the crystal blue, warm water and Misol-Ha, a waterfall surrounded by tropical jungle. In the afternoon we arrive at Palenque, a fantastically restored archaeological site and take you to your hotel. Accommodation.

Day 4 Palenque - Villahermosa

After breakfast we visit Palenque the biggest former Mayan town. Later we will bring you to the Villahermosa airport or bus terminal.
